Telecom Egypt received the 2024 “Best CSR Programs for Telecom Companies Locally and Internationally” award from The Global Economics. The award reflects the company’s impactful contributions to Egyptian society throughout 2023 and reaffirms its position as a leading organization in advancing sustainable and community-focused initiatives.
Telecom Egypt’s name was featured on the Wall of Healing at Shifa Al-Orman Hospital in Upper Egypt in recognition of its contribution to supporting the healthcare sector and advancing sustainable community impact. This initiative was designed to provide a sustainable and cost-efficient solution for the treatment of hazardous medical waste by converting it into non-hazardous waste. In doing so, it helps reduce the hospital’s medical waste transportation and disposal costs, enabling resources to be reallocated to patient care. The initiative also contributes to enhancing the safety of personnel handling medical waste, hospital visitors, and the surrounding environment.
Telecom Egypt was nominated in two categories in the 2018 Middle East Investor Relations Awards held in partnership with Extel Survey. Telecom Egypt ranked among the top 5 leading corporate for Investor Relations in Egypt, additionally Sarah Shabayek, Senior Director of Investor Relations, has been ranked among the top 5 best investor relations professionals in Egypt.
Telecom Egypt - WE have been selected as the winner of the 21st World Communication Awards (WCA) in the Best Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiative category for the year 2019 in a ceremony held in London. The award was granted in recognition of Telecom Egypt - WE's recent project "E-blood banking system", which comes in line with the company's directive of supporting the progression of the Egyptian society through the development of the ICT sector.
