Creating a page navigation component

You can use a page navigation element only by creating a page navigation component. You cannot add a page navigation element to authoring templates, site areas, or content items.

About this task

To create a page navigation component, open the applications menu and go to Content > Web Content Management and then click New > Component > Page Navigation.
  1. Page navigation component identification
    Specify identification information for the component, including the name, title and description of the component.
  2. Specify a location for the page navigation component
    When creating a component you can specify the location of the component.
  3. Defining a page navigator
    You use the page navigation element to define a page navigator.
  4. Page navigation component properties
    Specify properties for the component, including the list of authors and owners associated with the component.
  5. Defining page navigation component access
    Specify the access control settings for the component to determine which users have access to the component and their level of access.
