Creating a component reference component

You create a component reference component when you want to reuse a component reference in multiple places in your website.

About this task

To create a component reference component, open the applications menu and go to Content > Web Content Management and then click New > Component > Component Reference.
  1. Component reference component identification
    Specify identification information for the component, including the name, title and description of the component.
  2. Specify a location for the component reference component
    When creating a component you can specify the location of the component.
  3. Selecting a component to reference
    The component reference element is used to store a reference to a component. You can select only one component reference at a time.
  4. Component reference component properties
    Specify properties for the component, including the list of authors and owners associated with the component.
  5. Granting component reference component access
    Specify the access control settings for the component to determine which users have access to the component and their level of access.
