Adding an application or content to a page

You can add content and applications to pages from the site toolbar.

About this task

If you don't see the content or application that you are looking for in the site toolbar, you might need to clear your cache. If your site administrator adds a content or portlet after you have viewed the list of available items, you will not see it.

Procedure

  1. Click Edit Mode on the site toolbar.
  2. From the site toolbar, select Create > Content.
  3. Select a category from the Content tab.
  4. You can filter the displayed results by typing space separated search strings into the search box.
  5. To see more information about a particular piece of content, click the title to view a popup dialog that details the item.
  6. Add an item to the page using drag and drop, by clicking the Add to Page button on the details dialog or the plus ( + ) icon to the side of the title in the list of results. If an item has more than one renderer, a dialog pops up with a drop-down box of choices; select a choice to render the content and click the Add button. A placeholder appears on your page. It contains the title of the new content.
  7. Rearrange the page by dragging and dropping the pieces of content as required.
